As a freelance author, I wrote on editorial assignment for ten-plus years for the regional, award-winning Charlottesville Family Magazine. I enjoyed sharing the stories of local folks--from a dad who is a fetal surgeon to a mom who is a detective, and many more in between. Additionally, I enjoyed interviewing kidlit pros and sharing their industry advice in newsletters aimed at those learning the craft.
